American folk artist Patricia Palermino has been publishing her unique collection
|
“Celebration”, “joy”, “whimsy” and “humor” are words which are heard from viewers to describe the art of Pat Palermino. One young admirer pronounced “this folk art rocks!” at a recent exhibit. “I
am elated when I know that my art has elicited a positive response from
the viewers”. The majority of my work portrays the American landscape with a strong sense of color, patriotism and locale. Humor also plays a very large part in my interpretation of a subject which is apparent in pieces such as “ Mermaid 10K Today” Check out this whimsical painting found in the Summertime and Mermaids collection. |
Commissioned and personal projects have included American monuments and
landmarks: the U.S. Capitol, the White House, the Jefferson Memorial, the
Governor’s Palace in Williamsburg , Gunston Hall, Mount Vernon, Independence
Hall and many others. “Parades and celebrations are fun subjects!” and are captured in “The Alexandria Waterfront Festival” |
